A brief history of the organization
Himalaya Community Salvation Society (HIMS Nepal) is a faith based non-profit, non-Government, non-party political organization of beneficiaries established in 2005 in community initiative for development of the local peoples. HIMS, Nepal is established by the community people, hence always emphasizes – – inclusion of diverse peoples. Its running programmer in remote villages of north Dhading where social-economic, spiritual and educational conditions are poor. The main issues for development are food security, health and hygiene and local resources mobilization.
Since the past 10 years, HIMS Nepal has been working in diverse areas (programmer given under numbers 2 and 3 below) with the participation of diverse group as beneficiaries of programmer it has launched among the communities of the northern most VDCs of Dhading. Among the NGO-Federation members of Dhading district HIMS Nepal is well known as an NGO working in the most remote part of the district. It is governed by a polity selected from among the beneficiaries in a democratic manner. The committee so formed meets every month to discuss its programmer and other issues concerning the communities.
